The “Bros” are back in town, and this time they’re taking on Santacon.
New York-based video editor Anthony DiMieri’s web series has taken on a life of its own since its first episode in April 2013. Originally meant to be a parody of the HBO series “Girls,” the cast and plot lines of “Bros” have carved their own way, from dabbling in the hipster scene of Williamsburg, to navigating bro-heavy Murray Hill and now descending upon the debauchery that is NYC’s annual Santacon.
We see an edgier side of the bros in the third webisode, as one of the goals of the day becomes scoring cocaine for a girl in return for sexual favors. Per the usual, though, the bros find themselves in a mischievous predicament, this time fueled by an Alphabet City drug dealer named Frosty, a wise homeless good Samaritan and a bag of flesh-eating cocaine.
