New limo lane on Upper West Side

Since limos aren’t obnoxious enough, they now have equally obnoxious extra parking space in front of two Trump Place residential building on the Upper West Side.

The Department of Transportation told the New York Times that about two blocks of parking space in front of the building has now been converted to a limousine-only lane. Apparently, this was done so they won’t have to double-park, risking pesky parking tickets.

This type of zone, on Riverside Boulevard, between 65th and 67th Streets, will reportedly be the first of its kind for residential buildings… possibly pioneering the way for limousines all over the city. Awesome.

Not surprisingly, people who don’t get to ride in limos everywhere they go, are not too keen on the new idea.

“Look who is going to park: limos!” said Ella Grzesh to the NYT. “Why would we just give space to limos?”

We hear you, Ella. We hear you….
