New York Comedy Festival 2016 lineup: Tracy Morgan, Marc Maron, Patton Oswalt and more

The New York Comedy Festival is returning just in time to make the home stretch of election week bearable. The fest is back for its 13th year Nov. 1-6 with 200 comedians performing more than 60 shows across all five boroughs.

Headliners for the annual showcase of the city’s funniest were announced Monday morning, and you’ll definitely need a game plan to catch all your favorites: Tracy Morgan, Marc Maron, Tig Notaro, Bill Maher, Dane Cook, T.J. Miller (“Silicon Valley”), Chris D’Elia (“Undateable”), Trevor Noah, Patton Oswalt, Tim Minchin (“Californication”), Bridget Everett and Cameron Esposito. “The festival continues to present the performers at the forefront of comedy,” says festival founder Caroline Hirsch, of Carolines on Broadway.

More performers will be announced later in the fall. Tickets go on sale Aug. 15 at 10 a.m., or Citibank credit cardholders have early access starting Aug. 10.

In the meantime, catch the best comics you haven’t heard of yet at Carolines, which is launching a stand-up showcase series called Comics to Watch, starting Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. Comedy Central, which helps produce the festival, picks the up-and-coming talent — as in, potentially next year’s healiners.
