Mrs. Rochester — the madwoman in the attic in Charlotte Bronte’s “Jane Eyre” — and the heroine of Jean Rhys’ sizzling Caribbean sequel “Wide Sargasso Sea” may have been odd starting points for the relentlessly happy Suno. But the tension between the prim silhouettes and the sultry tropical prints and bright colors produced rapturous results: whimsical floral jacquard shifts worn with matching cigarette pants, clingy ribbed turtleneck dresses with rainbow stripes, fair isle ski sweaters with rounded shoulders, flowing printed dresses with scandalous sheer insets.

Instaworthy: all the cheery, surprised and swooning faces in the front row. This was a crowd-pleaser.
