New York Post cover with ‘Selfish Selfie’ woman is its dumbest yet

This blonde woman was so engrossed in her camera that she ignored the life-and-death struggle going on waaaaay behind her on a bridge. Or something.

Well, this is meta. A man has taken a photo of a woman taking a photo of HERSELF.

This is also the stupidest thing we’ve seen in at least, well, the last two hours. (There are a lot of stupid things on the Internet.)

A New York Post photog snapped a photo of some random blonde woman taking a selfie in front of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Post PUT IT ON ITS COVER.

(And then, of course, the entire Internet exploded in reaction and put it on their Internet covers — us included. Hey man, we didn’t make the rules.)

Breaking news! Halt the presses! This just in: Selfies are a thing that lots of chicks like to do to prove that they do/saw things and look cute while doing/seeing them. Dudes too!

The angle, apparently, is that (likely unbeknownst to this unidentified blonde lady) there was a man wayyyyy up high on that bridge threatening suicide when she took the photo. Can you even?! We can’t. We can’t even.

So now the Post has a headline: “Selfie-ish!” Because, we guess, she should have been scaling the Brooklyn Bridge to save this guy?

To be fair, it’s hard to notice things like strangers about to leap to their death when you’re too busy gazing at your own visage in an electronic device. Maybe “Oblivious” would have been a more accurate headline.

Also, this is not a story. (Nor is this story about their non-story but hey, the webz!)
