One of New York City’s top public relations firms is capitalizing on the popularity of the hit Broadway show “Hamilton” in a bid to attract politicians campaigning for city and state offices.

The firm, MirRam Group, created The Hamilton Campaign Network in March to consult on election campaigns, according to state records.

The use of the Hamilton name seems like an appropriate choice in that a co-founder of MirRam is Luis Miranda, father Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and starred in the Tony-winning musical.

“(The) name is topical with all of the renewed political interest on Hamilton as a historical figure” MirRam spokesman Javier Gomez told the Daily News.

The senior Miranda is involved in both companies, but the president of Hamilton Campaign Network is John Emrick, former chief of staff for state Senate Independent Democratic Conference leader Jeffrey Klein.

Thus far, the new company’s clients include the Senate IDC and several state and New York City candidates.
