The 3-year-old Brooklyn boy found with a fractured skull in his home last week has died, and authorities may upgrade charges already filed against the mother's boyfriend.

The NYPD confirmed that the child, Jaden Jordan, had died. Relatives told the New York Daily News he died Saturday night, shortly after they took him off life support.

He had been in critical condition since Nov. 28, when police responded to his Gravesend apartment at 2161 W. Fifth St., and found the boy unconscious. His injuries included a fractured skull and lacerated spleen and liver.

Police charged the mother's boyfriend, Salvatore Lucchesse, 24, with four counts of assault and a count of endangering the welfare of a child. The child's death could bring upgraded charges against the man, according to a report in NY1.

The city Administration for Children's Services had received a tip about alleged abuse, but the caller provided the wrong address, NY1 reported.
