Fumes coming from a fountain at the 9/11 Memorial this afternoon lead to emergency crews being called to the site.
An FDNY spokesperson confirmed that crews were called out to 180 Greenwich Street after fumes were noticed rising from a fountain.
“It seems to be possibly some kind of cleaning agent at that memorial pool,” the spokesperson said.

Representatives of the 9/11 Memorial could not be immediately reached for comment.
There were no injuries reported. Crews are still investigating at the scene.
