In this postelection world that continues to divide the nation, draw protests and strike fear into many people, taking a step back — and a deep breath — can be an extremely lofty goal.

New Yorkers can attempt to turn that towering aspiration into a reality on March 19, when Above the Clouds mass meditation takes place in the western hemisphere’s tallest building.

Held at the One World Observatory atop One World Trade Center, Above the Clouds is an evening gather, hosted by The Big Quiet meditation event series and Kit and Aceapparel company.

“We believe everyone can benefit from pushing pause,” Kit and Ace wrote on its website about the event. “We’re coming together again to pause powerfully and leave our past, present and future in the clouds.”

In October, Kit and Ace and The Big Quiet held a “meditation flash mob” at the WTC’s Oculus transit hub with 600 attendees.

The March 19 Above the Clouds will feature live music and will acknowledge the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, which aims to lessen racial and ethnic tensions. First-time meditators will be shown a simple technique before the event.

Tickets, which are $40, include a meditation cushion participants can keep and a dinner salad from Sweetgreen.

If you aren’t in New York or are unable to attend, Above the Clouds will be live-streamed at Kit and Ace showrooms in Vancouver, British Columbia; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Toronto; Milwaukee; and Venice and Pasadena, California.
