Armed bandits bust into Manhattan apartment, rob 11 people: NYPD

The robbers escaped through a window as cops arrived.

A crowded Chelsea apartment was the scene of a brazen robbery where the suspects, armed and wearing masks, robbed the occupants before fleeing out a window, police said.


Eleven men and women, ranging in age from 19 to 35 years old, were inside a third-floor apartment near West 27 Street and 9th Avenue on Saturday at about 1:40 a.m. when the robbery occurred, authorities said.

Four suspects, each armed and wearing masks, entered the apartment and told the occupants to to get down on the ground. They then took the occupants’ cellphones and an undetermined amount of cash. One of the victims called 911, and the suspects fled through a bedroom window as police arrived.
