Police said a fight between two roommates in Queens turned deadly on Monday, leaving one dead from a hammer to the head.

Jesse Smith, 29, died from severe head trauma after police responded to calls of a dispute in the luxury Astoria apartment on 21st Street at around 5:30 p.m.

Investigators believe Smith got into a fight with roommate Quentin Capobianco, 18, possibly over money.

Smith worked as a practicing attorney in New York State. The law firm he listed as an employer refused to confirm his employment.

Capobianco identified himself as a paralegal for Smith on his LinkedIn account.

When the argument intensified, authorities said they believe Capobianco picked up a hammer and slammed it into Smith’s head.

EMTs rushed Smith to Elmhurst General Hospital but was declared dead soon after.

Capobianco was arrested and charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use.
