A 24-year-old man with autism, who went missing Wednesday afternoon during a trip to Prospect Park, was found safe early Thursday morning.

Michael Yam had been on a field trip with members of a group home inside the Brooklyn park, according to PIX11 New York. At about 1 p.m. the group realized that Yam was not with them when they were getting back into their van.

The Brooklyn resident — who police say is unable to speak — was discovered on Thursay at about 8:30 a.m. nearHenry and Middagh streets in Brooklyn Heights, according to NBC4 New York.

He was taken to Methodist Hospital for observation.
