Surveillance camera footage reportedlycaptured the crime in action as a group of young boys boarded a school bus in Brooklyn and set it on fire on Sunday. Now, an 11-year-old suspect is facing hate crime charges, according to NBC New York.
The bus belongs to the Bnos Chomesh Academy, a Jewish school for girls.

The website CrownHeights.info obtained a copy of the security footage.
The child’s charges include arson as a hate crime and criminal mischief as a hate crime, NBC reported.

“I don’t know why they would do that. Maybe they were just bored, or maybe it really was about hate. Either way they blew up a bus. They need help,” Chani Klein, a parent at the academy, told the Daily News.
