A Brooklyn man was arrested and charged Saturday in the fatal shooting of his friend and neighbor, according to police.
While New York City was being hit by Winter storm Jonas, police responded to a call at about 7:54 p.m. of a man shot inside an apartment at 768 45th St.

After an investigation, police arrested 32-year-old Maciej Gorecki and charged him with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Even though initial published reports said the shooting happened during a game of Russian roulette, police said that was not the case. However, they did say the two were drinking before the shooting occurred. According to the New York Daily News, police sources said Gorecki had been showing off his gun and pointed the gun at Golabek thinking it was not loaded.
