After being informed that the tenant in an apartment at 1845 Atlantic Ave. was illegally housing a caiman alligator and nine snakes the NYPD obtained a search warrant and uncovered the reptiles, authorities said.

The alligator, about 3 feet long, and the snakes were confiscated and taken to the Bronx Zoo.
