Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been talking immigration (possibly of the American kind soon) and posing for photo ops with babies in Washington, D.C. this week, generally being the sole bright spot in international politics.
Yesterday, Trudeau made his rounds in New York City, and ate like a local:
Mile End Deli, which hosted another famous Canadian last month for an offbeat Valentine's dinner, added this comment on its Facebook page:"By now, you can just call us good friends. Thanks for coming by Mile End for lunch today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau!"
The prime minister atesmoked meat, according to his Twitter account. He also returned the love:
Great to get a taste of Montreal in New York! Merci de m’avoir accueilli. https://t.co/sxH1RIjuxC— Justin Trudeau (@JustinTrudeau) March 17, 2016
Perhaps the photo op was in thanks for helping out the prime minister with a smoked meat emergency last week?
