Actually free!

It’s not quite seeing “Hamilton” on Broadway, but some of the cast are stepping off the big stage to perform a showcase at The Living Room bar next month, and for free!

The event, part of the W Times Square hotel’s Broadway @ the W program, will feature Nicholas Christopher (George Washington), Lexi Lawson (Eliza Hamilton) and original cast member Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), along with five ensemble performers and alternates. A special guest usually accompanies the performance, though Lin-Manuel Miranda is off in London so don’t expect a cameo by the original A.Ham.

Each performer gets to choose what they’ll be bringing to the stage, whether it’s a song from the show or another artist, or even something like spoken word — which could be likely, given the post-election anxiety voiced by the musical’s cast.
