Prosecutors on Monday reduced the drug charges against Ramsey Orta, who filmed Eric Garner’s death on Staten Island last year.
Orta, 23, was arrested last week after allegedly selling MDMA — or “Molly” to an undercover cop on the Lower East Side, Metro previously reported.
Prosecutors said in court on Monday that Orta sold fake drugs to the cop, the Daily News reported. The state, however, is now pursuing petty larceny charges against Orta, who they believe was scheming to defraud potential drug buyers.
