We can’t even get the taste of victory champagne out of our mouths before questions about next season. Who will be the Odell Beckham Jr., the C.J. Anderson or the Russell Wilson that will lead us back to the promised land?

All of that will be sifted out over the next eight months via free agency, the draft, minicamps and training camp. But it’s never too early to dream about 2015’s first round. Initial thoughts:

To RB or not to RB?

Thanks to early-round running back busts like LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson, Doug Martin, Zac Stacy and Montee Ball, there’s going to be a lot of “zero RB” talk this coming summer. There are valid points to the strategy, as running backs are the most likely to get hurt and are most replaceable by real-life teams. Still, there are landmines at other positions as well (Peyton Manning, Jimmy Graham, Julius Thomas, Brandon Marshall). I would not pass on volume/touchdown machines like Le’Veon Bell, Eddie Lacy and DeMarco Murray in the top-eight picks.

Thin at tight end

The tight end position has regressed to the point to where there’s literally only one player who is consistently productive right now. Given the scarcity, Rob Gronkowski (who has an incredible 44 TDs in his last 49 regular season games) should be a first round pick in all formats. And even though Jimmy Graham and Drew Brees scuffled down the stretch, I think we’ll come to learn that had a lot to do with the tight end’s shoulder. Graham will be a first rounder for me as well.

Old dirty receiver

Odell “ODB” Beckham finished as fantasy’s No. 9 wideout despite missing nearly all of the offseason program, all of training camp and the first four games of the year. There’s little reason to think he will regress in Year 2, locking him in as a borderline first-round option. The only wideouts I’d take above him right now are Antonio Brown, Demaryius Thomas, Jordy Nelson, Dez Bryant and Julio Jones.
