The Internet’s most popular cat is now an honorary cast member of the show that popularized felines in the first place.

Grumpy Cat stopped by the Neil Simon Theatre on Friday night to take a bow with the cast of the Broadway revival of Cats. Old Deuteronomy (Quentin Earl Darrington) presented Grumpy with a certificate at the end of the performance, making her an honorary Jellicle Cat.

“Being selected as the first real cat to perform in ‘Cats’ on Broadway was an honor. I hated it,” according to a statement released by Grumpy Cat. “If I’m really being honest, I would have preferred to play the Phantom in ‘The Phantom of the Opera.’”
