Good pizza isn’t hard to find in this city, but Williamsburg Pizza’s Nino Coniglio officially makes the best in the world. (Despite its name, Williamsburg Pizza also has locations inside Barclays Center and in the Lower East Side.)
Coniglio was named Pizza Maker of the Year at the annual International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas recently, also taking the Traditional Division prize — that’s a non-Neapolitan pizza with no more than two traditional toppings.

Also doing NYC proud was Andrew Scudera of Goodfella’s Pizza (1718 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island), who took top honors in the free-for-all Nontraditional Division.
