Summer is winding down and there's even a faint breeze in the air hinting that jacket season is just around the corner. Housing Works is giving shoppers the perfect chance to stock up on fall clothes before autumn is in full swing. This weekend, Housing Works' Soho location at 130 Crosby St. will be offering up to 80 percent off designer clothes.
The sale will continue through September, but we suggest going this weekend to snatch up the best merch. The store's website hints that there will be gently used designer clothes by Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Oscar de la Renta, Prada and a whole long list of other major designers. If you're gearing up for Fashion Week, this is a good chance to score some coveted clothes without dipping into your rent money.

Besides clothes, there will be shoes, handbags and accessories for sale. If you're too lazy to trek to the store, you can participate in the sale online at shop.housingworks.org.
The best part is, not only will you feel good about saving money, but what you do spend goes to a good cause as Housing Works is committed to raising money to help people with HIV and AIDS. It's a total win-win.
