How to experience Fashion Week without an invite

#Realtalk: The top three concerns of a Fashion Week attendee are where to eat, where to pee and where to charge your phone. Unglamorous, but true. And with events scattered all over the city — including in godforsaken midtown — finding a pleasant place to do any of these three things is going to be a challenge, to say the least.

Which is why we’ve scouted out the best spots near the shows to get stuff done — or, of course, to people-watch, which is what most of us end up doing anyway. So grab your unseasonably warm leather jacket and sky-high flatforms and head to these locales, whether you need to file a story pronto, yearn to see a runway model IRL or just need an espresso break in between all the madness.

The West Side (near Milk Studios, Chelsea Piers and numerous other NYFW venues)

The buzzy bistro is a fashion-editor favorite — and within walking distance of several Fashion Week sites.

Blue Bottle Coffee (450 West 15th Street)
Order a pour-over and perch by the bar at this coffee shop, which gives guests a front-row seat to all the street-style peacocks strutting in and out of Milk Studios next door.

Midtown (near Moynihan Station)

You don’t need to push your way inside the former post office — and new Fashion Week venue — to enjoy the spectacle. Just hang out on the steps (or across the street) and take it all in.

A good place for a “jog” — while surreptitiously spying on the fashion flock strutting out of Skylight Clarkson Sq.
