The Maryland Pro Day drew scouts and representatives from 27 different NFL teams. Included among those teams were the New York Giants.
According to sources, the Giants sent Vice President of Player Evaluation Marc Ross and scout Chris Petit to the Terrapins Pro Day. In addition, the Giants and the New York Jets both were in the house for the Fordham Pro Day on Wednesday.
On Monday, scout Ryan Jones was at the Iowa State facility for the New York Giants with Brian Shields from the New York Jets also at the site.
Also on Monday, sources confirm that both teams also attended the Miami (Ohio) Pro Day as well as Florida State’s star-studded day. In addition, Stony Brook’s Pro Day drew seven teams with both the Giants and Jets checking in.
Last week both teams were also present at Monmouth’s Pro Day on Friday, with Jets coordinator of college scouting Dan Zbojovsky representing his team. The two New York teams checked out a numbers of players at the Monmouth Pro Day, especially the trio of Darnell Leslie, Darren Ambush and Dimitrius Smith.
Last year, tight end Hakeem Valles of Monmouth was an undrafted rookie free agent signed by the Arizona Cardinals. He’s currently played 11 games for the NFC West team.
