Over the past few years, Wagner College in Staten Island has earned a reputation as a rising program in the Northeast Conference and one that is sending players into NFL camps. It is no wonder then that both the New York Giants and the New York Jets scouted the program last Friday.

Both teams were present at the Wagner Pro Day, a source tells Metro New York, with Giants scout Nicholas LaTesta and Jets coordinator of college scouting Dan Zbojovsky both present.

The Giants as well as the Jets invited linebacker Najee Harris, wide receiver Keith Foster and tight end Ryan Owens to their upcoming local day for college prospects in a couple weeks time. The local pro day, held at each team’s respective facility, usually involves measurements as well as some drills for the prospects.

In addition, the Oakland Raiders had scout Raleigh McKenzie and the Indianapolis Colts sent Mike Derico to the event.

A source tells Metro that the Giants and Jets both had a scout at Friday’s Kent State Pro Day as well.
