With just a few weeks left before the NFL Draft, the fast and furious push to close out the Pro Day circuit has the New York Giants and the New York Jets both hitting up multiple events each day to evaluate talent.
At the East Carolina Pro Day on Thursday, the Giants had scout Steve Verderosa present and the Jets sent the duo of scout Jay Mandolesi and wide receiver coach Karl Dorrell. Earlier this week, the Giants sent a scout to the Michigan State Pro Day while the Jets sent a scout as well as defensive line coach Robert Nunn.
Both teams had multiple representatives at Thursday’s Ohio State Pro Day, a source said and it is widely reported that Jets head coach Todd Bowles was at the spectacle. In addition, the Giants and Jets both had scouts at the Stanford Pro Day as well.
Friday’s Pro Day at Wagner College on Staten Island drew a scout from the Giants as well as three representatives from the Jets.
