The Pro Day beat goes on with just a couple of major programs on the agenda over the next few days for the New York Giants and the New York Jets. Both teams were at two Pro Days in Florida over as many days.

Wednesday’s Pro Day at Miami drew dozens of NFL scouts and officials from front offices, such is the case for a Hurricanes program that routinely sends prospects into the early rounds of the NFL Draft. Executive scout Joe Collins from the Giants was the sole representative from his organization on the day. Meanwhile, the Jets sent national scout Lee Gissendaner, senior director of college scouting Rex Hogan, tight ends coach Jimmie Johnson, scout Jay Mandolesi and assistant defensive back coach Daylon McCutcheon to check in at Miami.

Of intrigue is the presence of Johnson, especially with Miami having tight end David Njoku on their roster last year. He is considered one of the top tight ends in the draft if not the top player at the position.

Collins was also present on Tuesday at the Florida Atlantic Pro Day as was Gissendaner for the Jets. A total of 27 teams were in attendance at the Owls Pro Day.
