The Rangers proved just how resilient they were throughout the 2015 playoffs. A member of the NHL's final four this season, New York was an elite team - just not elite enough to hoist the Stanley Cup one more time. Tampa Bay eliminated the Rangers Friday night at Madison Square Garden, courtesy of a 2-0 Game 7 win, equaling a 4-3 series win.

Tampa scored both of its goals in the third period. Alex Killorn and Ondrej Palatfound the net for the Rangers.

The Rangers did not score in the final 145:43 of the series.

The Lightning will face either Chicago or Anaheim in the Cup Final, which begins Wednesday.
