A man was killed early Thursday morning as he tried to cross a busy Queens roadway and was hit by two cars, police said.

The 51-year-old victim, who police have yet to identify, was struck on the northbound Whitestone Expressway, near the border ofFlushing and College Point at about 4:40 a.m.

He was attempting to cross the four-lane roadway between the Linden Place and 20th Avenue exits when he was struck by an SUV, followed by a dark-colored sedan, police said.


EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The SUV remained on the scene, but the sedan fled, according to authorities. There have been no arrests as police continue to investigate.
