An upstate New York father admitted to pretending to be his teen daughter’s boyfriend to trick her into sending him nude photos of herself, the New York Daily News reported.

The unidentified 41-year-old man from Herkimer County reportedly pleaded guilty in federal court to 12 counts of enticing a child to produce child pornography and receiving and sending child porn. He also faces sexual abuse charges in Herkimer County Court.
In total, he can face up to 250 years in prison for his crimes.
According to Syracuse.com, the man set up fake social media and email accounts, and a fake phone number as well. He then pretended to be a 16-year-old and began pressuring his daughter to send pictures. When she wanted to break the correspondence he threatened her.
“All you talk about is sex sex and more sex. Honestly that is not what a relationship is about,” she wrote in a message.
“Then I will send these to your dad and then I won’t have to worry about anyone else having u,” he responded.
The man then claimed the boy had committed suicide and reportedly sent graphic images before ending communication.
He was caught after his daughter reported the incident to her school nurse, who then notified authorities. Investigators were able to track the phone number to the father.
