MAP: Where to see July 4 fireworks in all five boroughs

Macy’s may put on the biggest fireworks show, but it’s not the only one. Here’s where to see fireworks displays around the city along with free music, food trucks and baseball games.

Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
When:
9:20 p.m.
Where: East River,at Fulton Street and from 23rd to 42nd Street
Cost: Free

Living up to its name, Macy’s puts on a25-minute show over the East River in a display that television just can’t do justice to, so go see it for yourself. The best viewing locations are along F.D.R. Drive and the South Street Seaport, or the highest rooftop (bars) in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Alice Austen House Independence Day Celebration
When:6-11 p.m.
Where:Alice Austen Park,2 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island

Take in a concert on the lawn from the Staten Island Philharmonic, followed by fireworks.

Staten Island Yankees vs. Hudson Valley Renegades
When: Game begins at 7 p.m., fireworks to follow
Where:Richmond County Bank Ballpark,75 Richmond Terrace Staten Island
Cost:Tickets are $9-$18

We love Citi Field, but the view of New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline makes this the most scenic stadium in town, even before the fireworks start.

Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Williamsport Crosscutters
​When: Game starts at 6 p.m., fireworks to follow
Where: MCU Parks, 1904 Surf Ave., Brooklyn
Cost: Tickets to the game are$10-$17

The night’s theme is country music,so don’t forget a cowboy hat.

Coney Island’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular
When:
Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m.
Where:Steeplechase Plaza & Coney Island Boardwalk
Cost: Free

After you check out the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, stick around for a fireworks show on the boardwalk.

Freedom and Fireworks Festival
When: Noon-10 p.m., fireworks at 9:20
Where:200 Morris Pesin Dr., Jersey City
Cost: Free

Liberty State Park will have food trucks, carnival rides for kids, and music from local bands to keep you busy before the show.
