A “glitch” in the Mets website already declared themthe National League champions ahead of tonight’s game.
A promo box in the upper right-hand corner of the team’s official website not only stated that they were heading to the World Series, but also showed pieces of merchandise celebrating their win, according to the Daily News. Though the mistake was fixed quickly, it did not go unnoticed before being taken down.
In an email to the Daily NewsMets PR representativeJay Horwitz called it a “glitch.”
