Bank robber at large, cops say
A brazen thief has knocked over five banks in two-and-a-half years, the NYPD said in releasing an image of the rotund suspect.
His latest target? A bank on Eliot Avenue in Queens on Wednesday, police said Thursday.
Three of the other armed stickups were at the same Grand Avenue bank in Maspeth.

He also targeted a bank in Brooklyn, on 13th Avenue in Borough Park, in July of 2013, cops said.
His description is distinctive: He’s around 45, 5-feet-7 and 300 pounds.
Nurse arrested in baby slay was about to flee country
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown has announced the arrest of a nurse accused in the scalding death of a 2-year-old.
Oluyemisi Adebayo, 54, was taken into custody as she tried to board a flight to Africa, Brown said.
Adebayo put the Memphis Avenue toddler, Naomi Mondesire, into 130-degree water for at least 30 seconds on April 21, police said.
The Associated Press said she told detectives she had tested the water but “noticed skin falling off Naomi's legs when she took her out.”
The NYPD says she is charged with murder.
Arrest in Staten Island slaying of Nancy Cafaro
A Staten Island man has been arrested in the December slaying of a borough resident in her home in Grasmere.
Thomas Spagnuolo, 53, is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the bludgeoning death of Nancy Cafaro, 55, who was found with blunt-force trauma to her forehead and a broken hand in the bedroom of her Fayette Ave. home Dec. 8.
The Advance reports that investigators found a baseball bat wrapped in a bloody towel near her lifeless body.
