Another day, another entry in the Rent Is Too Damn Highdirectory of lost iconic venues.

Bloomberg news is reporting that FAO Schwarz, the toy store best known for itslarger-than-life piano played by Tom Hanks in “Big,” will be closing this summer.

A representative for Toys “R” Us, which owns the store, tells Bloomberg that it’s looking for another location and remains “committed to the FAO Schwarz brand and growing its legacy.”

Will Tom Hanks make an appearance to play it out? Either way, swing by before the store closes in July (but maybe skip the 8 a.m. private tour/breakfast, unless you have a thing for living toy soldiers.)
