UPDATE: Arrest in Gramercy rape attempt; two other cases probed

UPDATE:
Perp in Gramercy case charged.
A suspect in what was earlier described as an attempted rape in Gramercy has been arrested and charged.

Cops say he is 20-year-old Dominique Brown, of East Harlem.

He is charged with rape, burglarly, and sex abuse.

EARLIER:
Cops on Tuesday were hunting suspects in three separate attacks on women, all below 34th Street — an attempted rape in Gramercy, a groping in Union Square, and a sex attack in Korea Town, near Penn Station.

GRAMERCY ATTEMPTED RAPE
The NYPD reports the attempted rape happened this past Saturday at 3:25 a.m. in the vestibule of an apartment building in Gramercy.

The suspect followed the 25-year-old victim into the building. She fought off the suspect, who then fled.

The suspect, pictured in as newly released video, is described as a black male, 5’8″ tall, weighing 170 pounds.

He was wearing blue jeans, white sneakers and a dark jacket with the ADIDAS symbol on the back and with the word ADIDAS on the hood.

UNION SQUARE GROPING
Cops have released a photo of a man wanted for groping near Union Square.

The incident happened last month near 8 p.m. on a Monday night as the woman was walking in a crosswalk i14th Street and Fifth Avenue.

The perp grabbed her buttocks and then walked away. He is described as white, with salt and pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans, yellow work boots, eye glasses and carrying a AND1 black and white book bag.

A photo of the suspect was taken by the victim with her cellphone.

KOREA TOWN SEX ATTACK
Last Thursday, at 4 p.m., cops say a man attacked a 41-year-old woman in the stairwell of a Korea Town commercial building onWest 32nd Street.

He groped the woman’s chest and ran off when she screamed and pushed him off.

The suspect is white or Hispanic and had on a two-toned Yankees cap, gray hoodie, back pants, and white running shoes.
