Police are searching for a psychologist who has been accused of performing a sex act on a 15-year-old and is now believed to have left the state.

On Tuesday, police reported they are searching for Clifton Ables, 51, who was accused of sexual assaulting a boy, 15, inside a Parkchester residence in the Bronx. The alleged assault took place last Nov. 1.

Authorities, who now suspect that Ables may be in Florida, arrested the psychologist in March for unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child because he was living with the 15-year-old, who was believed to be a runaway in his care, the New York Daily News reported. Ables was suspended without pay after his arrest.

Authorities have asked for people who believe they may have been victimized by Ables to call the NYPD Bronx Special Victims Unit at 718-378-8937.

Ables has denied having an inappropriate relationship with the teen, the Daily News added.
