Police are searching for a man responsible for slashing the face of a wheelchair-bound woman on a Harlem street this weekend.

Around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, the man approached the victim, 42, in front of 167 East 125thStreet and used an unknown object to slash her face, police reported.

The victim and the attacker did not know each other, police said to NBC4, which added that there was no altercation prior to the slashing, which appeared to be random.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital where she received stitches for her injury, according to police.

Authorities described the attacker as a black man between 18 and 25 years old who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black basketball shorts and white sneakers.
