Authorities are searching for a man suspected of an attempted rape on a Queens street last month.

Around 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, a 33-year-old woman was grabbed by her throat on the street near the corner 42nd Avenue and Warren Street in Corona, according to police. The man who grabbed her demanded to go to her apartment.

The victim fought back, and the suspect punched her in the mouth and stomach several times, authorities added. He then threw the woman to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

When the woman yelled for help, the suspect fled eastbound on 42ndAvenue, police added.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7, who was last seen wearing a checkered shirt and dark colored pants.
