Police are searching for a woman they say hit a 12-year-old boy with his own hockey stick in a Staten Island park.

On April 13 at about 4 p.m. the victim was struck by the hockey stick after the woman allegedly took it from him in a park near Crispi Lane and hit him with it, police reported.

The dispute between the boy and the woman started because she said he and his friends were making too much noise, ABC7 stated.

The victim suffered an injured leg in the incident, but he was not taken to the hospital, according to police.

Authorities have not been able to identify the woman, according to ABC7, which added that both the woman and children in the park took pictures of each other.
