A Bronx woman died from her injuries shortly after a drunk driver barreled his Dodge Charger into the livery cab the woman rode in early New Years Day.

Pamela Pimentel, 27, died at Jacobi Medical Center on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Police said earlier that morning Pimentel was in the backseat of the cab driving westbound on the Cross Bronx Expressway when it stopped at a red light at Rosedale Avenue at about 8 a.m.

That's when Hernan Vega slammed his 2011 Dodge Charger into the taxi's trunk, police said.
