Off-duty cop charged after allegedly assaulting bar bouncer

An officer out in Greenwich Village early Sunday reportedly got into it with the bouncer at the Three Sheets Saloon. He's charged with assault.

An off-duty New York City police officer has been arrested and charged with assault after getting into a brawl with a Greenwich Villageneighborhood bar bouncer, police said Monday.

Gerardo Bugalloberet, 26, was arrested and charged within the confines of the 6th precinct, which is in Greenwich Village.

According to dnainfo.com, on Sunday at approximately 1:30 a.m., Bugalloberet assaulted a bouncer at the Three Sheets Saloon along W. 3rd Streetnear NYU. He was assigned to a Bronx precinct, though police sources declined to specify which one to dnainfo.com.


A spokesperson for the NYPD said he did not know whether Bugalloberet had been at the Three Sheets Saloon prior to the incident.

Bugalloberet reportedly joined the NYPD in July 2014.
