Officers responding to a report of a car fire in a parking area near John F. Kennedy International Airport discovered a body in the trunk of the vehicle, authorities said Sunday.
Firefighters were extinguishing the fire just before midnight on Saturday when the officers arrived at the scene, a public parking area of Idlewild Park.
After the fire was doused, police found the body of an adult male in the trunk. The body was significantly burned.

No arrests have been reported.
