One man was killed and three were injured in Brooklyn shootings that occurred within a span of a few hours on Tuesday evening.

At around 7:20 p.m., police were called to an apartment at 666 Hancock St. where they found a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his head and chest, the Daily Mail reported.

Identified by his mother as Lionel McLean, the deceased man had been visiting his girlfriend on Hancock Street when the shooting took place, the New York Daily News added.

“There were so many shots, I couldn’t count,” a witness said to the Daily News. “A woman, his girlfriend, was standing over him, crying.”

McLean died from his injuries at Interfaith Hospital, the Daily Mail reported, adding that two men also arrived at Woodhull Medical Center just moments earlier with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police do not believe the two shootings are linked, the Daily News stated.

Also on Tuesday evening in Brooklyn, a shooting reported near Flatbush-Ditmas Park sent one victim to Kings County Hospital, the Daily News added.

Tuesday night’s violence comes after a bloody Monday night in Brooklyn that saw one man killed and another hospitalized with a gunshot to the neck after a double shooting on 56th Street, the Daily Mail reported. It is unknown if any of Tuesday’s shootings were related to the Monday incident.
