One woman is dead and two are in stable condition after an early Monday morning shooting outside Club Motivo at 915 Broadway in the Flatiron District, according to an NYPD statement about the incident.

The first victim, a 24 year-old female, suffered a gunshot wound to the back. The second victim suffered a gunshot wound in the shoulder, and the third victim had gunshot wounds to the hip and foot, the NYPD reported, adding that EMS responded and transported all three victims to Bellevue Hospital, where the first victim was pronounced dead.

“I heard about six or seven loud, what seemed to be — I was in disbelief, but what seemed to be gunshots at the time,” one man was quoted in a related CBS New York report. “You could hear the yelling and screaming, but I was kind of hoping it was a fight for a minute then reality kind of hit you, and people [were] on the ground. It was kind of mayhem.”

The gunman left behind five shell casings at the scene and fled in a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a BMW. Sources described him as black, in his 20s and wearing a red and black hoodie, the New York Daily News claimed in a related report.
