Peyton’s Sunday morning, apparently, is spent watching his little brother play football.

“Big Brother is watching” is taken to a whole new level around the Manning household as future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and his legendary father Archie Manning are keeping a close eye on Eli Manning and the New York Giants. In an interview with Rick Serritella of NFL Draft Bible, Archie talked about recently being honored by the College Football Hall of Fame as well as watching his one son while getting insight of another legendary son.

Archie, himself a former NFL quarterback and a star in college at Ole Miss, shed some light on his relationship with Peyton while they watch Eli and his season unfold with the Giants. Turns out they are texting buddies.

“We carry on a little texting, watching Eli’s game together. Of course Peyton is very observant, he hasn’t been out of football that long. He knows what is going on. I love his observations, sometimes we go through a game,” Archie told Serritella.

“Peyton is doing fine, I’m really proud the fall he has had. He wanted to be free and do things he wanted to do in the fall. I think he’s done that. But he’s also enjoying life, he’s enjoying his family. I’m very proud of Peyton.”

Last week, Archie received the Gold Medal from the College Football Hall of Fame. It is the highest honor that the hall gives to anyone.

He’s also reportedly in Peyton’s top five on his cell phone plan.
