The mother of a 2-year-old girl found dead in her crib Tuesday at the family’s Jersey City apartment was reportedly arrested Wednesday.
Tracey Mitchell, 23, of 407 Union St., was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse, according to a 7 ABC News report.
Neighbors said the woman was frantic that afternoon, begging them for help while carrying the lifeless child in a panic.

"She came knocking on my door and screaming the baby was dead and laid the baby on my bed and I called 911," said Ineasha Gleaton told the news station. “She was just, after she laid the baby down, she was running through my apartment screaming.”
The Hudson Country Prosecutor's Office told NJ.com that the cause of death was still under investigation.
Mitchell’s bail was set at $150,000 cash or bond.
