Many were questioning just how great Henrik Lundqvist and Rick Nash were prior to Game 4 of the 2015 Eastern Conference Final between the Rangers and Lightning. Both Rangers stars proved their greatness Friday. New York shredded Tampa Bay, 5-1, Friday at Amalie Arena as the Rangers tied the best-of-seven series, 2-2. Game 5 is Sunday (8 p.m., NBCSN).
Lundqvist finished with 38 saves in Game 4, allowing just one goal, after giving up 12 goals in the previous two games. Nash broke out of a slump, scoring twice.
Martin St. Louis’ third period goal at the 5:08 mark all but put the game away, giving New York a 4-1 lead.
