Former Washington Redskins quarterbackRobert Griffin III will visit with the New York Jets Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Jets are in search of a quarterback, or are at least leveraging their situation with free agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick at this hour. Multiple reports said Friday that the Jets and Fitzpatrick are nowhere close to agreeing to a new deal.
Thursday the Jets were mentioned in possible trade rumors with the San Franciso 49ersregarding QB Colin Kaepernick but NFL Network's Michael Silver indicated that the Broncos were in the lead for Kaepernick's services. Denver traded (with the Eagles) for former Jets QB Mark Sanchez on Friday, but it's highly unlikely that John Elway will go to camp with Sanchez as the likely starter.

Kaepernickhas indicated in the past that he would like to play for the Jets but he also indicated this week that he would like to land in Cleveland, with the Browns - who are also seeking a quarterback.
