Although Japanese ramen joint Ichiran markets their restaurant experience as “low interaction dining” with “Flavor Concentration Booths” designed for solo, partitioned eating, their much-toutedopening today in Bushwickwas anything but anti-social, at least from the look of it on Instagram. Lines stretched down the block and the wait was one to two hours long even at 2 p.m., according to one post. The flavor concentration booths looked less like prison phone call cells and more like cozy cubbies; and some photos showed folks dining together!
