A person walking through a Manhattan park found a severed horse head in a cardboard box, and authorities are still trying to determine where it came from.
Around 11 a.m. on Sunday at Harlem River Park, a woman walking near 190thStreet found a cardboard box containing the gruesome contents, CBS reported.
Police said in a related NBC article that the box contained the severed horse head as well as other animal parts.
The Department of Sanitation arrived on the scene and removed the box, according to NBC.
The NYPD is now trying to determine where the box came from, CBS added.
